Excuse me for using English, but as a foreigner, I see different comments on the ligature oe. It is either positioned as an 'easier' character to type, en acceptable; in other words it is put as definitely wrong. Consistency is better.

Sorry, erm, The œ ligature (ALT+0156) is in my view, dying out. I took a picture of a bottle of wine that didn't use it (for œnologue). It is mandatory for a lot of words (almost all of them that have 'o' followed by 'e', but not 'é') but I think by 2100 it will be old-fashioned, a bit like using æ (things like præsenter for présenter).
