Étymologie
[modifier le wikicode]- (Attesté en 1668)[1] Du grec ancien πρίσμα(τ), prisma(t) (« scié », « coupe », « prisme ») avec le suffixe -ic[1].
- La variante prismatical est attestée environ à la même époque (c. 1650)[2].
- Cognat avec le français prismatique, l’italien prismatico, ou encore l’espagnol prismático et prismáticos.
- Sens 2 attesté en 1728[2].
