The only thing really funny is the pronunciation section. Imagine 4 pages at the end of the book, entitled Pronunciation dictionary, and showcasing words obviously randomly chosen. I don't know whether it has been invented by the author but that's what it looks like:

  • cactus : kak-tuce
  • clown : klounn
  • quadruple : koua-druple
  • fixation : fik-sa-cion
  • watchman : ouat-chmane

Well, too bad, you find out on the last page that this dictionary was already obsolete before its publication, since "le dictionnaire classique universel was already in press when the annexation of Savoy and the County of Nice to France has been finalized". So...
