Étymologie

(c. 1610) Du latin ususfructus (sens identique), composé de usus (« droit d’utiliser une chose ») et fructus (« droit d’en percevoir les fruits »).

À pour cognat l’espagnol usufructo, le français usufruit, l’italien usufrutto et le portugais usufruto.
