Old Irish
Anglais[modifier le wikicode]
Étymologie[modifier le wikicode]
Nom propre [modifier le wikicode]
Old Irish \ˌoʊld ˈaɪ.ɹɪʃ\ (États-Unis), \ˌəʊld ˈaɪ.ɹɪʃ\ (Royaume-Uni)
- (Linguistique) (Indénombrable) Vieil irlandais (langue).
Old Irish preserves the dual in the nominal declension only, but the way languages lose the dual is by no means a simultaneous process for the different categories, and in fact there is a remarkable tendency to lose the dual in the verb before the nominal and pronominal declension.
